This is the biggest spiritual center in Bulgaria - 5 floors, visible are 4 of them. The monastery is not a subject to the local bishop but the Patriarchate. In Bulgaria there are only two such - Troyan Monastery and Bachkovski monastery.
In Razlog area you can visit Dobarsko village with the Church of St. Theodore Tyron and Theodore Stratilat.
The church was built in 1614 by awaken wealthy people from Dobarsko which occupies parts of the beautiful Rila Mountains. The most prominent founder of them is Hasia, who visited Jerusalem and carries holy soil from the Holy Sepulchre.
